Look Up and Beyond is dedicated to supporting women in law by reimagining the culture and structures that need to change to help retain female talent and advance its progress to senior roles.
Women are a small majority in the Scottish legal profession…
…but female solicitors aged 30 and under are a larger majority…
…and female law graduates are a larger majority still.
Do you see a pattern?
The pipeline of our talent is increasingly female. Yet women are still not reaching senior or leadership levels as anticipated. Worrying still, they are leaving or considering leaving, in higher numbers than ever before.
What can we do to change this trend? We need cultural and structural change. And to help with that, Look Up and Beyond provides the following services:
Ask LUAB
A first-stop, self-referral guidance service. Do you have doubts about your career? Are you thinking about leaving? Is something at work worrying you? Get in touch for a confidential chat.
CPD training
In collaboration with Diversity+, we are able to offer free online CPD to all our members. Simply sign up for our membership to be eligible.
We create a bespoke mentoring programme to meet your business and talent needs. Be it a group session, individual programmes, a firm-wide initiative or leadership training to implement reverse mentoring, all options are available with the primary objective of retaining and advancing female talent.
To combat the barriers created by intergenerational and intersectional issues, we design communication training to help you better understand and address the underlying issues
